Have you considered recruiting a high calibre graduate student for your business?

Placement students can make a significant contribution to your organisation and work to a high standard on different types of projects, depending on the organisation and its priorities.

Students who have little or no experience of the workplace are not a burden but can be a breath of fresh air. If you have always tackled some issues from the same angle, a student could offer a completely different perspective.

They can bring a completely new dynamic and energy to your team. We are pleased to introduce an MBA placement route with an integrated 6 or 12 months industrial placement.

We also have our MA Marketing programme which incorporates a 12 months placement. These placement opportunities enable our students to demonstrate their skills and knowledge in the workplace whilst contributing their ideas, skills and enthusiasm into your business. Both our programmes are accredited with the Chartered Management Institute and the Chartered Institute of Marketing, respectively. These nationally recognised professional organisations confirm the skills of our students and the benefits available to your business.

TYPES OF PLACEMENT

Students can help with projects from operations and logistics to digital marketing alongside a wide range of other issues such as business analysis, human resources, marketing strategy and supply chain.

Placements can also be project based e.g. a piece of research you have been thinking of doing, looking at the use of your social media, planning and running events, reviewing your current marketing plans.

WORKING HOURS AND SALARY

Students on placement are able to work a minimum of 20 hours and a maximum of 37 hours per week. Ideally, we are looking for paid placement opportunities for our students. That said, we know depending on the size or the organisation some employers may not be in a position to offer a paid salary and we are happy to discuss further.

WHEN CAN STUDENTS START?

Normally, students can begin their placements at the end of the second semester of teaching. This will be around June 2020, and we are happy to discuss specific dates to fit in with an organisation's requirements.
