Sarah Grant joined the Scaleup North East programme in 2019 to help cope with the rapid growth of her business, My Healthcare Recruit.

The Newcastle-based firm uses video CVs and video interviewing to give employers a hiring advantage when recruiting international permanent nurses. Clients gain access to qualified talent efficiently and affordably and can find the right cultural and quality fit for their teams.

Sarah has been working alongside Scaleup North East Partner, Craig Huntingdon, to navigate her journey of rapid growth and overcome the typical challenges such businesses face along the way.

In the past year alone the firm has deployed over 250 international nurses to the UK, an achievement they are extremely proud of. The team has grown from one to six employees and the internal processes now benefit from a more streamlined approach. When developing a functional specification for a new CRM system, Sarah was able to leverage the support of an RTC North Service Design Consultant.

For My Healthcare Recruit, managing cash flow effectively, recruiting a team, and ensuring they could scale their operations without compromising the quality of service, were key priorities. Sarah has highly praised the tailored nature of the support she received from Scaleup North East.
